Shootdown

In the manual for the Lvl 7 Mag, it says firing more than 3 bps will make the velocity drop 10-20 fps. Is this true, and do automags get as much shootdown as people say?

If it is a classic valve the manual may be refering to the performance to expect out of CO2. I've never experienced any shoot down out of a mag. However, I've never shot a mag with CO2 either.

A mag with a decent compressed air system can surpass 10 Bps without significant shootdown provided your mag is lubricated and in good working condition.

Many including myself have achieved a nice high rate of fire without shootdown using CO2. The classic valve is capable of 12 - 16 bps without shootdown if the trigger is pulled and released properly during each cycle.
