AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I read that there is a lot of shoot down on a classic valve when pulling high BPS. Is there a way to reduce this problem without having to buy the X Valve?
classy's are limited to a certain bps. Some will argue this, but i think its 13 or 15
correct me if im wrong. i dont think its valve itself, just the on off. ULT only helps the trigger pull, and actually lowers it. What the problem is, is that while the classy is incredibly state of the art, it was state of the art 10 years ago. Its efficiency has since been improved upon, hence the xvalve. But i see no problem if you are doing mech, that is if you have a well tuned valve. just make sure if you think you can hit high bps liek 13, you have an egg or halo. This will prevent all chops.
Most of the shoot down on a classic is from short stroking. What do you consider "high BPS"? I had horrible shoot down with my classic when I used a benchmark trigger frame and a ULT kit, the shoot down was bad before the ULT also just because of that frame, but it was my fault for not giving it a full pull and release to recharge fully(short stroking).
Currently my mag is settup with a spydermag mod and a ULT. Its set currently to 16bps and doesn't have any shoot down. Most shoot down problems are some sort of recharge problem weather it be short stroking, dirty valve, low input pressure, or slow air system(including problems with the ASA).
There were a few threads that talked about input pressure affecting recharge rate on the classic valves also. The higher the input the faster the valve could recharge, which is true about most regulators.
I have to agree Asym when I have my hyperframe on my mag it is more consistent shot to shot then when im using my Benchmark two finger grip because of short stroking the mechanical trigger , guess im going to have to find a single finger trigger with stops for this frame one day.
heres what you have to learn first tho. Unless its a pneusmatic triggerframe, you cant walk it. It just can't be done. it might seem like you are walking it, but its going reactive. You can only walk electros. Fanning, rocking or whatever you want to call it is an easy way to reach high speeds, but in most cases, you lose your accuracy. I would say a good 6 to 8 bps is easily obtainable
as far as ult, its guaranteed to limit the max to 13 or 14 bps on a classy, if it works at all. ULT is very pushy when it comes to classic valves
mobsterboy: I just finished my Pneumatic Trigger Frame and it's working great. But the high input pressure for my pneumatics is making my >1mm trigger pull really, REALLY heavy. I'm looking into installing the ULT to lower my input pressure for the pneumatics therefore allowing the pneumatics to not have to work so hard. This would also lighten my >1mm trigger pull to >10g. This should allow me to walk the trigger like an electro (in theory).
My concern for shootdown are only for the short moments of play when I have to pull off a burst of paint to keep players in their bunker, intimidate other players or lay down a lot of paint to get through shrubs (I play a lot of woods ball). If the classic valve can keep up for 8~12 BPS for 1~2 seconds burst, then this is more then enough for what I'm looking for. Only thing I need now is the ULT mod.
COMON' SANTA... DADDY NEEDS ONE MORE UPGRADE!
Thank you everyone for your input.

High input pressure on aclassic will only overcome hose/fitting issues like using macroline that reduces flow. First be sure your reg seal is flat and does not have a dimple protudeing into where the regvalve seals on it.
Now the bad people that modify their guns out of spec. and void the warrenty BLA BLA..... may try to shorten .................................................. ..............................................
