optimal input pressure for the X valve

Hi guys, it's new tank time and I'm trying to decide between the DYE 70 stubby which really suits my setup, and a conventional 68 with a slightly higher output pressure. The MacDev is an 850 nominal output, the throttle 800. I'm hoping some players out there with experience with either can make a recommendation. Essentially, I need to know will the extra pressure of the MacDev be of benefit, given my firing style, which is 2-10 ball bursts only as we play a limited paint-per-point version of 3 a side X ball.

Any help appreciated as usual, thanks guys.

PS - I've just visited three sites stating the output of the throttle (hp) as 750, 800 and 850 psi. Can anyone confirm which one it is?

    Cheers

      Thanks Roguefactor,

As reg quality is paramount to me, your word is good enough for me. The MacDev it is.

Snappier trigger is nice too, to a point.

      Many thanks, Wayne

I've had many a throttle running on mags at the shop to test markers. The throttle will more than likely not put out enough pressure to make the mag RT like other tanks will out of the box. Every throttle I've used, including my own, choke the mags down. I've had good experiences with Crossfire and pure energy tanks putting out a good RT'ing pressure without choking. Cheers.

Or you may consider a Centerflag 4CE reg. These screw-in can go higher then 850 psi.

Iv heard that highoutput Throttles have a lower output like 750psi. Hmm, call the reg manufacturer and ask? The high the output, the more reactivity youll acheive .

I always recommend the Centerflag Dynaflow. You can adjust it to whatever pressure you need which will give you the trigger feel you want. It's got great flow and has an integral bleed.
