    milling eyes for morlock

    does anybody know where i could send by ULE body to get milled for eyes? i dont need covers, i can make those myself, i just dont want to srew up my beautifull body, i have access to a mill and drill press if it is easy to do it myself, but i dont know if i trust myself with it, please help me!

    You can send it to tag www.tagsportz.com or if you want to do it make sure you drill close as possible to the centerline of the feed neck as possible and as lowest portion of the tube as possible. Do not drill straight through the body from one side to the other because of your drill may not be 100% straight. Instead use a caliper to measure the lenght and height of your hole usally eaiser whith your marker complete and use a punch to mark your location. Drill the size of your eye first then drill your countersink hole after. If you don't already know aluminum is drilled at high speed also use a cutting oil if possible or any medium weight oil will work.......

      Actually you want to aim about 1/8" higher than the bottom of the breech to over come the ball rolling back and forth between the detent and bolt. Trust me on that one...

        Yes, do not get into the base of the breech at all. You can always increase the eye delay by a bit if you need to.
