HALO B Questions

I've just bought a HALO B for my RTP (best thing I ever bought for it but that is another story) and was wondering if it is best to simply leave the battery pack in situ, remove the pack, or remove the batteries completely between uses.

I use the loader once a week.

Question two - it it recommended that spring tension be released when not being used as well - can this be effected by reversing the rip drive a couple of turns?

I take my pack out between uses just to be sure that it wont get turned on. If you don't store the halo loaded, you don't have to worry about the spring.
