    ULT in retro valve

I was wondering if it would be possible to mod your ult rather than modding the valve(ULT-$30, valve is $130.. thats why).

Yes, you can. It needs to be drilled out so the ult will work with it though.

I had mine done by BradAGD, don't know if he still posts on here anymore. His shop is in houston its called paintball max or something like that.

Thanks.. but i was wondering if i could mod the ult instead of the valve.

How much did it cost though?

I'm looking at my ult and stock on off right now, and I don't see any way the ult could be shortened to fit. I don't know enough about the workings of the ult to be sure, but you might be able to modify the stock on off to function like a ult by making/modifying a ult style pin for the stock on off. Personally, I think it's a bad idea and would just leave it alone or get the valve drilled.

the best thing for you to do is to contact him to find out if he still does the mod, and how much it would be. I want to say I payed under 30 bucks total. I honestly don't remember it was when ULT first came out that I had it done.

Works fine and the work was quick, like a weeks turn around time.

I could probley just drill it myself. My friend has a drill press, im pretty willing to drill it. The only problem is that the drill bit is kind of shaped like a pencil tip, so you really cant just throw on a drill bit and drill it out.

What kind of drill bit do i need? I was thinking like a mill bit would work, it sounds kind of "iffy."

You really do not want to use an end mill in a drill press. The results can be really bad.

One, the bottom of the hole needs to be flat. A regular bit will not do this.

Two, it needs to be done to a percise depth. The tolerences on the valves are very specific. Thats why there are those tiny half-sized shims with the ult. They wouldn't include those if it didn't make a difference.

If you want to go ahead and try, go for it, but don't be surprised if you wreck your valve.

Be smart about this. Send it to somebody who knows what they are doing.

Tolerances in AGD valves are super-tight... Send it to someone who know's what they're doing... Like Brad... Like ALL of us are saying... Haha
