ok ive upped my mag as far as i want, i want a gun good on co2 and nitro, so i have a classic valve im only firing like 6 to 8 bps, can i throw on a palmers stab and antisiphoned co2 and not get shootdown? have output at 800psi?

Anti-siphon is always a good idea on a CO2 setup. Unless you are shooting a 'gun that prefers liquid CO2, you will always get better performance with an anti-siphon tank.
A Stabilizer will do more to stop liquid than an expansion chamber and is a good choice for a setup where you will be using both CO2 and HPA. I would recommend that you not regulate the pressure down when using the Stabilizer--keep the output at about tank pressure (800-900 psi) and let the regulator on the 'Mag have full pressure.
Essentially then, your Stabilizer just becomes a means for stopping liquid and eliminating spikes in pressure for CO2 use. For HPA use, it will serve as a really nice foregrip!
I use an anti-siphon tank and expansion chamber and this combo does a good job of eliminating liquid from getting to the valve. However, as I understand it, an expansion chamber and HPA are not a good combination. I have no experience in the matter, but what I have read is that the expansion chamber will cause worse efficiency with HPA use. Someone else correct me if I am wrong...
One other trick I use...buy a large CO2 tank and always underfill it. I have a 16 oz tank for my 'Mag and I usually only put 12 oz in it. This keeps the liquid level lower and gives it less chance to splash into the tube.
Good luck!

i use a small xchamber gasthru, and i use anti siphon, so since i use hpa and co2 a stab would stop all shoot down, i see shootdown when i put out rapid strings of about 30-40 balls over 6 seconds, so a stab it is so i dont havta change to a cocker
thanks guys, any want to help me find a stab cheap, black or chrome?

You will have some shootdown on long rapid strings like you mention in colder weather especially--with or without a Stabilizer. Just the nature of CO2. If you are going to fire sustained strings, you are better off with HPA when it is below 50 degrees.Originally posted by pbowleri use a small xchamber gasthru, and i use anti siphon, so since i use hpa and co2 a stab would stop all shoot down, i see shootdown when i put out rapid strings of about 30-40 balls over 6 seconds, so a stab it is so i dont havta change to a cocker

Sorry, your concern about shootdown was never really addressed in my first post.Comment

When I ran CO2, and Given that the mag is equipped with some form of reg already, I ran a 12oz anti siphon with smart parts expansion chamber and it was quite consistent, but any colder than 45*F out and its gonna be tough to warm CO2 no matter how many contraptions you put between the tank and marker. As a note though, just dont put an anti-siphon tank on a remote,
sounds stupid but I've seen it.

Keep in mind that each antisyphon tank has to be set up for the particular gun you're running it on...you'll have to keep the same setup and asa, and make sure the tank is in the same position each time or else you'll end up sucking nothing but liquid into the gun.
I run a sideline Stabilizer on my .68 AutoMag and don't have any issues with CO2.Comment

ill agree with not useing CO2 in cold weather. but like most people have stated it tends to get shoot down very quickly. if your useing a mag i would say use HPA or N2. i am going to say this though. HPA is a hot gas and will heat up your valve over time of fire, n2 on the other hand is cooler then HPA, so over time of shooting your valve will stay somewhat cooler. and yes this is from personal experiance.Comment

Keep in mind that HPA is ~78% Nitrogen though, so there's not a huge difference.Comment

you want your valve to heat up, becuase gas expands when it is heated, thats why xvalves work better when used in strings, and you will get a little beter efficiency tooClassic Automag w/AllAmerican barrel and ACI 6stage xchamber
