    Double cocker or double mag???

Ok first of all my father owns a manual/cnc machine shop so I have some very fun tools at my disposal and I would really like to make a double cocker or a double mag. Each one I think has its own issues in creation.

My questions about each are this. If I were to make a double cocker running off of a single internal valve spring set up is there anything special I have to do to allow for enough air out to fire two paintballs at once. I have seen these done yet I had never really thought about asking. I don't think I would have any other problems in the creation of this marker other than that.

Now if I were to make a double mag how difficult do you think it would be to set up the actual trigger mechanism. I haven't had as many dealings with mags as I have had with cockers.

Something with the mag that I have also thought about doing is having a warp feed singlarly set up with a hose splitter in the line to feed to the two diffrent sides instead of having to have two hoppers to cut down on the extra weight for balls. No i don't mind loading more often.

Oh, with the mag is it difficult to find a valve with the air inlet on the oppisite side. Or is it possible to make an air inlet on a pre-existing valve.

Any comments or opinions on this would be most appreciated.

My other project is to make my very own undercocking phantom as well as a Pump assisted phantom.

I do not plan on selling any of these markers all of them are one time projects unless I feel i need a second double barreled paintball marker for my offhand. HEHE. Thought I would mention that for the sake of the undercocker and pump assist because I know punisher makes and sells those as well as seeing a couple of the double markers here and there.

    Thanks,

look up the nasty typhoon from palmers, better yet ask them how they did it, ive called them about that before and they awnsered it quite nicley
ive seen this done with A-5's too bieng sold on ebay for round $400
i think the mag would look cooler due to the uni-body construction of it.... i saw a thread about the reverse mini-valve on sale or somthing, but after a lil looking i bet it wouldnt be too hard to find a reverse X either, call AGD or someone who might have one

They have a dual barreled cocker or two that they have made from scratch. They show a few pictures of different things. It looks like the valve exhaust hole was opened up to flow towards both needed holes. If you do plan on doing this it will be a bit of work to design it and then a bit of work to have it made. I know you say your dad owns the place but I would have him look at what it takes first before you try to do this yourself.
Why doesnt anything work for me.

doc nickel had some vee twin bodies available on his site few months ago ... i don't know how much he sold them and if he have some left but they were looking very cool ...
all you had to add were the pneumatics and a valve ... and a second bolt also but i think they were using a single ram and a single valve ...

you should contact doc bout' theses babies ...

I just had an idea for a double mag that would be pretty simple. Use the stock rtp rail that has threaded holes in the sides for foregrip and sightrail brackets to connect the 2 rails together. Then put a pin attatching the two triggers so they move in unison. You'd have a heavy trigger pull because you're closing two on offs. If you want just one frame in the middle, you could machine a third rail of some sort that has a rod connecting it to the two sears, it would just be a little harder. It would be pricey but look nasty.

I am taking a normal cocker body up to the shop tomorrow so I can speak with one of the machinists about it to see how hard it would be to set up. I myself work there but I am not a machinist. I act as head of commisioning for it as well as the sister company that the machine shop is actually used to build parts for.

Basically I have to make sure the machines we build work as they are supposed to.
