    broken warp feed

While replacing the battery on my warpfeed my battery got snagged and both of the wires got ripped right out of their solderings on the circuit board. Is there a way I can send it back and have AGD re-solder the battery leads back to the board? I would do this myself but i can't remove the circuit board because of the way it is soldered to the motor and the window is too small for my clumsy fingers to solder through.

I was thinking though, why didn't AGD decide to use the kind of battery connector for two 9v's that revvy's use? There seems to be a lot less room for user stupidity. Is there a flaw with that design?

    HEY HEY!!! EWHOOHOOHOOHAHAHAHAH!!!!
sorry, anyway, the same thing happened to me. You have to take off the black plate on the back, and then you can bend the circuit board down, and re-solder the board. Trust me, it will work. Just bend the board on the other wires that are soldered.

i REALLY don't trust myself with anything so dangerous as a soldering iron though, if i could get it done by AGD that would probably save me a broken warp sometime in the future from shoddy soldering and several burn scars

KP - Where do you live ?

The techs will be at the MGO from Thur until Sunday.

I am in the Northern Va area, if you are in teh area you can stop by and I can solder up new connections for you while you wait.

i'm in the Raleigh, NC area...not too too far from where you're at, i used to live in Fairfax county actually...but too far to drive for a little bit of soldering on a broken warpfeed. Is there any other feasable solution? i've looked at the warp parts in the store and the battery adapters there also require soldering...

i am sure you must have a friend that can solder it for you???

I never had this problem myself, but i went ahead and replaced the stock 9v clip with a heavy duty one.

It makes a world of differnce.
