Help w/ micromag megaleak

gassed up my micro for the first time today (68/4500). it has a micromag valve, and it leaks out of the velocity adjustment dial. this is my first mag, where should i start?

ps. its lvl 10 equipped if that matters

I picked up a Micro that has LVL10 on the Micro Valve, all stainless steel valves the same just different model name.
When I gassed it upped it leaked everywere.
I was told to oil it liberally.
Remove the valve from the body, unscrew the two halves and add a few drops in the centre hole of the back half(regulator).
I would also suggest a drop or two in the On/Off as well.
After I had oiled my Micro and gassed it up it still leaked.
I degassed it let it sit for a couple hours then gassed it back up and the leak was gone has been great ever since.
I think my Micro's seals were dry and just needed to soak in the oil.
Just remember like with any marker before you play put a couple drops of oil in the ASA.

Try turning the velocity down if that doesnt fix it you may need a new regulator piston. The regulator piston has a built in overpressure relief that prevented the mag from firing too hot, but the level 10 requires more air to function the old regulator piston relief may start venting when the gun is at normal velocities. also if that doesnt work call AGD thair customer support is GREAT. most of the time you'll just need to lube it, let it sit, and play.

the level 10 seems sufficiently tuned. as described above, it leaks from everywhere. i'll tighted up the ss hoses and oil it up. when i first gassed it up earlier, it would not shoot at first, so i incrementally turned up the velocity until it did. at this point it began to leak from the small central hole on the back of the gun. hopefully, it just needs some love juice. thanks for the help, i'll keep you posted.

if its leaking from the hole where you put the allen key in to turn it up put the key back it and turn it down until it stops you probably have it to high and its venting

when i adjusted the velocity to the point of the leak stopping, it wasn't firing anywhere near 280. maybe 200 if thats possible.

i'm hoping that's not true . the guy i bought it from said it hasn't been used in months, but the last time he used it it shot "like a dream". gullibility aside, i'm thinking the piston was already adjusted/replaced for the level 10, unless they can go bad. i just got done oiling the valve. i unscrewed it into 2 parts and put 3 drops into the back half. i also smeared a little oil on the o-ring between the two halves. my tank is empty, so i can't gas it back up. hopefully the oil soaks in over night and everything will be good by the time i get a refill.

I had a classic valve that "shot like a dream" for a month with a brand new level X kit, but ultimately had to replace the reg piston. It sounds like that is exactly what your problem is.

well i'm off to the shop for a fill. if the oil didn't fix anything i'll see if they have a replacement piston. wish me luck...

ok, i just got back. we were able to get the gun goin without leaks shooting ~271. then it started leaking again through the blow-off vent. the tech suspects that the level 10 wasn't adusted properly. i don't have any of the shims or carriers so he is going to see what he can do. hopefully when i go back i'll have a working micro.

no, it's not that the level X isn't tuned, it's the regulator piston that needs to be replaced as it's an old valve that wasn't designed for the pressure levels of that bolt.

I've been through this exact problem before. Besides any problem with the level X will show itself around the bolt/ powertube, not the rear velocity adjuster
