    Alternative E-Mag Charger?

Is there any alternative than spending ~$100 for the AGD E-Mag Charger?

I have a line on an e-mag for a great price but it has no charger.. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Mike

2 9v baterys, they are lighter too, get the rechargeable ones, and wire them in series
Classic Automag w/AllAmerican barrel and ACI 6stage xchamber
98Custom w/Lapco Big Shot, Rocket Cock

Do a search. Somewhere on here is a thread about a Radio Shack charger that can be used. I wouldnt try anything other than that charger or the AGD one. The board is expensive and you dont want to buy a new one. I wouldnt try the 9 volt batteries either.

2 x 9v batteries in series won't give you enough current to reliably activate the solenoid.

The AGD charger is a smart charger, designed specifically to charge the 16.8v emag battery. Using any other charger would be detrimental to the battery unless it was also a smart charger designed for that voltage. Smart chargers can be quite expensive, especially for batteries with nonstandard voltages such as the emag battery.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

          Allright, Thanks.

Not what I was hoping to hear, but not too suprising. I will investigate this further when I get my hands on the battery pack.

          Thanks,
          MR

I ended up getting one used for about half retail. Tuna never got back to me on a price for a new one.
