    Tac One bolt issues

I played with my Tac one today and had a few issues

    1. Extreme inaccuracy. Problem was paint, no fault of the Tac 1's. BTW" is the J&J barrel kit any good?

    2. Leaking. I could hear it from the bolt, and it occurred after firing when it sounded like the bolt did not recock all the way. Now, this is a different, smaller leak that the one I have heard before, where it cocks half back. I immediately thought of the following possible reasons:

-Do I need another shim or something on my LVLX?
-The large buffer O-ring behind the bolt is worn. That could cause the leak?
    - Because of weather change, or weakening of the spring I need to use the stronger one or get a new one.

    3. I had more chuffing than I should have had, too, leading me more towards the shim idea

    Thanks, guys.

. J&J's are ok. Many have said some of their prepping and QC isnt as good as could be(deburring, chamfering, etc).

      2. Leaking is one of 2 things:
      a. Carrier Size
      b. Shims

      - "You add a shim when the bolt sticks forward and need manual re-setting. Take one away when it leaks."

So since it was just sticking forward a little bit and leaking it need to add a shim?

"Buffer o-ring? You mean backing washer? There is a carrier o-ring, placed inside the carrier, and a backing washer behind the carrier. Which of these 2 are you referring to"

I refer to the buffer o-ring, I believe. There is a flattened out looking o-ring behind the bolt, which appears to serve only to lighten the blow of the bolt against the regulator housing.

      "Use the gold spring."

      I am.

As far as leaking out of my reg nut goes... how will I know it wsa the reg nut? I cant run air through it with it taken apart, right?

"Chuffing can be related to issue # 1- Bad Paint. Get good paint, and try it again."

I used some better paint which resulted in much improved accuracy, but I still chuffed.
