    Removing Hpa tank regulator/valve

I recently received a 68 4500 java tank from a buddy of mine the regulator is bad. I want to remove it and replace it. How do you do it. I know not to use heat because i read about it on here. Has anyone on here replaced the reg on a java cylinder. Thanks
Yah uh huh thats a hit!

If your having to ask your best bet is to send it and get it replaced or take it to your local field to have it replaced ..... HPA cylinders are dangerous and should only be worked on by qualified persons.

If anyone is being a jackass it's you. I suggest you grow up and get some manners unless you want to be banned from this forum.

Personally I hope those channel locks from above aren't grabbing the tank neck, just sounds like trouble. Myself I had excellent luck with a vise and a strap wrench (no tank damage), took off the bulldog tank and I think I have crossfire reg on ther now.

You guys would of laughed how i did this.

                  Tools needed:

                  Mouse pad
                  a belt (like you wear)
                  some blue thread locker
                  mag parts kit
                  and alot of cussing

wrapped the mouse pad around the tank and used an adjustable wrench on the fill zerk and twisted the valve from the tank blew the tank out and cleaned the threads. Took apart the regulator which was green loctited together and found out the the pin valve in it seals onto one of the poly white seals used in mag on offs and it was all wore out so i grabbed one out of the handy dandy mag parts kit slapped it in relubed everything with hpa grease same stuff used for rebuilding welder regulators and reloctited everything up and went out filled it after 5 hours of waiting for the loctite to cure it works at least it holds air i gotta go see how consistent the regulator flows though but it was a good deal for 50 bucks 72 4500 carbon fiber i was stoked

Thanks all dont try this at home unless you are willing to injure yourself for the sake of science its not hard to do but just dont get stupid
