    Need help w/ barrel comparisons

Not sure if this is the right place for this. I'm looking to buy a new barrel. I play exclusively in the woods. I'm looking for either a 14 or 16 inch barrel. I've narrowed my choices down to 3. I have a ule body so it needs to be cocker threaded.

I'm looking at getting either a Stiffi, All American, or J&J Fult Tilt Ceramic. I'm looking for the opinions of only those who have USED these before, not what you've heard from others. I'm not really looking to get a kit. So, accuracy, durability, quietness, a bore size easily able to get paint for and price are all considerations.

    Thanks for your help.

I have 2 mags, and I have All Americans for both. Great barrels. Very quiet and very accurate.

The J&J has the best shoot clean properties than any other barrel, IMHO. I have used a ceramics for over 5 years. And the J&J is quieter than an AA in my experiance. The Stiffi is a cool barrel, but it is a bit expensive.

I have a MacDev on my E-mag but my buddy has a stiffi that I tried, and it was pretty accurate, and just as quite as my MacDev, and weights about the same.

What I didn't like about it was if you look down the barrel you can see the ripples from the carbon, it didn't have that nice glossy finish like on a aluminium barrel.
        IMO, I love my MacDev.

agree - J&J ceramic is a great barrel, esp for the $$

I was leaning towards a J&J to begin with. That's what I'm going to get. Thanks for the help.

You'll like it. I've got a 12" J&J ceramic on my Minimag, and I routinely drop shots right on other players. If I get the time to really line someone up, it rarely takes me more than one shot to get an elimination.

I have used AA barrels for years but I have switched over to stiffi barrels ( buy a used one on ebay way cheaper) I also use an Empire twister barrel. It is internally rifled like an Armson barrel and shoots extremely straight. I got rid of my AA barrels after switching over. Dye ultralite barrels are also a great barrel but do not come cheap.
