Xmag question

Recently i was cleaning my xmag and i noticed that there is a small black oring pinned between the grip frame and the solenoid plunger. I can remove it and place it back in and it seems to serve no purpose, other than to not allow the solenoid to go all the way down. I guess my question is is there any reason an oring should be in that spot? I do not see it in any of the xmag diagrams on the AGD Website. It appears that this oring did not come off of anything it is just there. It is hard to see but it is between the brass retaining clip and the solenoid mounting plate. Any help would be apperciated.

That oring is not supposed to be there. It belongs in the bottom of the battery pack.

Ok so i removed that oring and now my solenoid will not recock. At this point the oring keeps the eclip from hitting and actually sticking to the top of the solenoid. Should i buy a new one? I also need to purchase a new hall sensor wire would this affect it in anyway?

Its possible that the plunger rod is bent. Its too hard to tell unless i see it...

Is the plunger rod the black thing that connects to the trigger sear if so it does not appear to be bent or misshapen in anyway. Is there any particular instructions on how to reinsert the trigger sear like a special angle i should put the sear back in at?
