That should give you a pretty decent idea on air consumption. You'd probably only be able to get about 175 shots on a 3.5 oz co2 tank. As far as dangers go, if you're using a classic valve you should be fine as long as you have an anti-siphon tank or are using an expansion chamber.

With a vertical ASA you'll be fine with CO2. No liquid will make it to the valve so long as it's at least mildly warm that day and you don't shoot too fast. Don't carry any extra paint - a 3.5 will get you through a hopper and that's about it.

Great pistol setup with a minimag running a 3.5/4/7 oz. tank and just the hopper.
