    My Brand New Emag

I'm an old time Mag player, I bought my marker in 1992 and played in a number of tournaments in the Northwest with it, those were the days. I still use it, but was feeling a little out-gunned on the airball fields. I decided that an Emag was the best upgrade since I already knew how to work on it and loved the resiliency of the design. For me, the best gun is the one that works when you pull the trigger, and my Mag never let me down.

I just recieved my brand new black CF ULE Emag. It is a sweet piece of gear, but I was very dissapointed in the manual. It contained a lot of out of date information:

Referred to the twist lock barrell - ULE body doesn't use twist-lock.
Referred to wire nubbins - no longer even used in the twist locks, plastic nubbins are standard.
Referred to 3 and 6 round burst firing modes - So far as I can tell, these are not available in ver 3.2 of the software.
Software menu was wrong - Game timer, game shot count, and firing modes are no longer available while a shot buffer setting seems to be now available.

I guess its just dissapointing that I spend $850 on a new marker and company I believe in and find that they can't keep the docs up to date. It was only 2 sheets of paper front and back, not like it has a high production cost!

I suppose I can see what you mean. If it wasn't brand new from AGD I wouldn't think you'd have an argument, but seeing as it is I can see why you might be upset. The e-mags are really on clearance basically. They aren't being manufactured anymore. So really you're buying the stuff they're cleaning out. So don't forget to keep that in mind. Enjoy your E-mag

I have been thinking of buying a new e-mag like you did. I have to ask, is it really worth the $850 to get a new one that hasn't been messed with?

No issue. You probably got the same manual I got with my emag in 2001 ver 1.37 software.
Go check out www.havoc-online.com and www.xmagworld.com. You should be able to figure everything out from there.
If all else fails, you just posted on the biggest MAG manual on the net just do a search

Actually there are still being manufactured. I don't know why AGD didn't discontinue them like the x mag but wahtever no complaints...

Anyway yeah AGD could use some updating even their "latest news" is old. The most recent news heading happened Jan of last year!

The marker is sweet! I was able to take it out over the weekend and do some target practice. I put about 1200 rounds through the critter and I have to say I was impressed. I got one broken ball but I'm not sure if that was a level 10 failure or just crappy paint.

I am just disappointed that I couldn't get a little more spit and polish for my $850. A friend just bought a brand new Angel G7 Fly. His manual was about 20+ pages, glossy with full color illistrations.

With 3+ year old docs, no new news on their site, and markers being shipped in plain brown boxes, it's no wonder people think they are out of business.
