    Barrel Reccomendations

    Ok guys...

Without starting some of the same old arguements I'd like some input from Mag owners on a new barrel for my FIRST automag. What I want is ACCURACY and quieting. If you have one of these or shot one, let me know what you thought or think.

I just got the Tac One and I must tell you, I'm in love! IT already shoots better than anything I've ever owned!

    So here are my choices:

Chipley CCM Carbon Fiber kit. I've heard great things about them as far as being accurate and quiet. Anyone know anything about them?

Lucky 15 Kit. I know they come in 3 sizes and are fairly new. They are supposed to be decent and are one piece construction.

Powerlyte Scepter supposed to be good. Uses Freak inserts.

Stiffi Switch. Cousin to the Chipley....

I love my Automag, I cannot believe I waited 20 years to buy one!

Powerlyte scepter uses it's own special inserts.. not the freak ones.

I've shot with the powerlyte and it's quiet i haven't shot with other ones. it's accurate too.

anything with porting after the first 5 -6 inches of the barrel will quiet the shot signature more porting the more quiet if i'm correct. but you use more air to bring it up to 280 fps but you probably already know that....

    my 2 cents

If you're going for quiet, I'd suggest something carbon fiber. So from your choices I'd suggest the CCM Carbon Fiber Kit.

BUT, if I was going to recommend a barrel, I'd recommend the SLY Duel Carbon Barrel Kit. If you're looking to buy used, you won't find one because they're relatively new, and everyone who has one (myself included) is beyond satisfied.

As with all carbon fiber barrels, remember NOT to use a battle swab.
