Removing the side to side slop in trigger ???

I was just playing around and made an over-trigger stop for my RT Benchmark Double Trigger. I epoxy'd a #10-32 flathead screw that I cut down to about 1/8" to the trigger frame behind the indent in the double trigger, and attached a cap nut to it. That works great and only cost about $1 !!!

Now I am wondering how to get the side to side wobble out of the trigger. It is not much, but still kinda annoying. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in Advance,
    Rob

    Side to Side Play

If you really want to be bothered with the side to side play in your Benchy, you can remove the trigger pin and add thin washer/shims on both sides of the trigger. If done right there will very little if any play after your done.

      trigger slop....

actually I don't like the washer method because it causes drag in the trigger. the trigger pin is 1/8"dia. bore out the hole in the frame to the next size bigger 5/32" rod. this will eliminate the slop without causing drag.

i used one of the wires from an extra box of nerwork cable. i just wraped it around the rod on one side of the trigger, i just put in a bit of oil to keep it from draging.

Does anyone know if the pins have to be tapped from one side vs. the other? I am going to get rid of the side to side motion as well, but the pin doesn't want to budge (one side doesn't appear to be mushroomed or flattened vs the other).
