its been so long...help! ult or lx out of wack

So I decided to switch out my am/mm rail for an rpg shadow rail. My x valve with ult was functioning fine before. Then i switched to shadow rail (and an rt sear instead of am/mm sear), and now stuff is messed up. I'm pretty sure the level 10 should be fine, so my problem should be with the ult and i completely forgot how to adjust it. Basically, when i gassed it up, it didn't leak and it shot fine once. Then i pulled the trigger again and it took some pressure to pull the sear back but the gun didn't shoot. There was also a slight leak down the barrel. The sear also isn't touching the back of the trigger, but i don't think that this is important. So, to sum it up-shot once, leak down the barrel, pressure still on sear but pulling the trigger didn't cause it to shoot. When i did pull the trigger it let some more air through the bolt. It sounded exactly like a short stroke every time i pulled the trigger. ANY IDEAS??? thank you much...and sry, i jsut havent adjusted a lx or ult in like 2 years...thx

Sounds like you may need to screw the trigger rod out a bit more. Adjust it to leave a few mm between the tip of the trigger rod and the back of the trigger.

i'll try that tuna, one more thing though...I put the original on/off back in and when i shot and held the trigger down it would just keep cycling really fast, then after a while the bolt just stuck forward and leaked, any more ideas? is it possible that th eproblem is with the lx?

i just noticed, i can see light through the space between the rail and chimera frame, not in the front but in the back, and it doesnt change no matter how hard i tighten the field strip screw, might this be the problem?

I am not much of an expert on the finer details of mag mechanics (so don't blow a week of work following my suggestion :P)

                so...

I had this sorta problem with my emag (no ULT). It would only shoot every now and again (more blank pulls than fires) with an occasional short stroke. It turns out the sear was not getting enough contact with the on/off pin. Basically when it fired it would shift everything enough to make it loose contact.
The problem was caused by the field strip screw not being tight enough. it was as tight as my (punny?) hand could tighten it but was not enough. It was an easy fix just by tightening it with the allen keys.

It was not be your field strip screw but maybe your on/off might be short?

This might be causing the problem similar whith what I talked about. If your frame is slightly too high (where it rests up againt the rail) it might be pulling your sear too far from the on/off. Don't go milling your nice frame on my account...some confirmations from anyone????
