I swtiched my lvl10 out for an ancient lvl7 that has had many many shots through it. It worked fine in the begining, but than, the fast rate of fire started to make the powertube tip become unscrewed so i the field owner recomended he rough up the threads a bit with some pliers, so we did, and put some blue locktight on it. Its consistancy was really poor when i got to test it an hour later. it wasnt so much that it was bad, it was just that if i waited 2 seconds the first few shots out of the barrel were low than higher than full speed. the only time it stayed consistant was when i fired rapidly. Thanks for the help!
x-valve and lvl7 are having major first shot drop

This may be because of the way the RT valve works. Basically it recharges so fast that friction heats up the air as it recharges the valve and become slightly more pressurize. When you fire it while it is still "hot" you will have the velocity climb up.
This appears to happen more noticable on a non level 10 valve Such as the RT valve. The x-vavle which I have used seem not to have this happen much even though there is still the friction effect.
Other thant that try lubing your bolt and spring and see if that helps. -
Roughing up threads probley is never a good idea..
imo.
Did you have the power tube tip oring on? Check your regulator orings on the valve.Comment

I replaced all the orings on the classic valve 4000 shots ago so i thought they would hold for the time being. Ill try adding more lube and updating you guys on the situation. Looking back on it roughing those threads up does sound like a terrible idea, but it was so loose that it could be undone by like 500 shots and it would make the gun go into crazy run away.Originally posted by SpitFire1299Roughing up threads probley is never a good idea..
