    Won't cock/Leaking down barrel

    first off...

    Automag with:
    ULE body
    X-valve w/ Lvl X
    ULE Trigger in an Inteli-Frame

It has been awhile since I played and an even longer time since I posted anything here (or any forum). I apologize now for what will surely be a NEWB question...

I went to play PB the other day after a two year absence (been working offshore). I was all excited to use my 'Mag. I got it in a trade with "JUBA" for a 'Cocker I had built and had only played with it a couple of times before I left the sport and it NEVER gave me a moments trouble. No Chopping, no leaks, no problems.

I went to air it up last Sunday and it leaked down the barrel. It's like it woudn't cock back. I tried to push the bolt back (it was about half-way sticking into the breech) with a squeegie to no avail. I turned up the pressure coming out of my Max-Flo tank to see if I did not have enough pressure going into the valve.... no changes.

I am a complete newb when it comes to 'Mags. I am a 'Cocker owner for the most part and I was trying to get away from them for the simple fact that I don't have the time to mess with em like I used to. Owning a 'Cocker is more of a hobby than just owning a gun you just "gas-n-go". Now, that is what I want. trouble free. minimal maintenance. consistent. and most important... RELIABLE.

I have looked through the "FAQ" section and it went over forum questions and etiquette. I am sure I am asking a simple question that has been asked before and I am just not finding it in through the search. I would appreciate any help or a push in the right direction.

I think I might just break down and take the 'Mag to "Q" if I can't get it working since I live here in Houston and all.

Go to www.airgun.com and under technical look for the pdf of the valve break down (There isnt one for the Xvalve, but the Retro vave is internally identical).

Remove the back field strip screw, and hold down the trigger. Then take the valve out of the gun. Inspect the body of the gun, the bolt on the valve, ect. Look for anything that would obviously be out of place. Look at the front frame screw, make sure its not too long and sticking up into the body of the gun. Make sure the bolt moves freely on the powertube. If not it could be a too-small lvl10 carrier, go to the lvl10 instructions and follow the disasembly directions, and replace it with a larger one from the lvl10 spares that should have been included with the gun.

This might not solve your issue but its the first step.

One possible cause detent to bolt interference

Of course its possible the LX is not allowing the bolt to move freely as well.
