benefits of emag over worked rt

I haven't bought any new equipment in a few years. I haven't been following the sport for a while either. I currently have a micromag rt. I have a level 10 and a flatline tank. I've got a warp and a halo. I love the gun it is fast and reliable.
Lately I have been looking at emags. I have never shot one . What if any would be the advantage of upgrading?
    Thanks for the info.

I've read that the battery can hold enough juice to run the gun for ages, and thus can also be used to run your hopper. Personally, I'd rig up a taser on the end of the barrel. of course, it'd only be good for those recball games where they don't let you shoot within 10 feet or so, and the players you bunker don't follow the rule that says they must surrender when you slap their bunker or yell to them from their bunker--taser em, then slap the bunker. works every time!

^the above was a joke--we all love those newbies that think they are so cool as they shoot you in the stomach point blank because they forget they are supposed to surrender when your barrel is in their face. Seriously!

Depends on the software version. 3.2 (the current software) is semi only. Past software did have the option of 3-9 round burst and full auto modes. www.xmagworld.com has a chart showing software and the features.

All e-mags can be shot on mechanical mode (works just like your micromag) or electronic mode (solenoid trips the sear every shot), or hybrid mode (solenoid fires the marker, but the trigger pin pushes the trigger back every shot). You get crazy bounce on hybrid mode...

The mode select is sweet becuase if your marker dies on your on the field, just a flick of the thumb will put it on good old reliable mech mode.

The trigger was the first to be magnetic return. It also has a sensor called the HAL effect sensor that trips the marker when a magnet embedded in the trigger gets close enough. No switches at all.

Theres a magnet on the top of the trigger that acts as the return magnet.

You can add or remove magnets to lighten/strengthen the pull of the trigger. I have one magnet in mine, plus I shoved some paper towel in the hole to act as a spacer, so I have an uber light trigger pull. I did have it so light that when I ran, the marker fired, but shooting in my condom all the time + firing the marker when I switched hands had me increse the pull a bit.

The battery pack turns a lot of people off of emags, but I love it. its rectangular, so you can stabalize the marker more with your front hand, which means more control on the snapshot.

Let me know if you have any more Q's. I'll do my best to help (and if I cant, I know tons of people who can)

whoa, why are there 4 magnets in that pic? mine only came with 2, only has space for 2, and since they are so strong, 4 would be almost glueing the trigger to the rest position.
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

The older ones had 3 magnets I think. One is MORE than enough though.
BTW, You can make some great spacers for those with a hole punch and some index cards
