Can I use Shocker grease for my X valve? I also have something called Slick (looks like Shocker grease). If I cant use it what brandname should I look for? Or is there something from the hardware store that I can use?

Its a regulator after all, so what you'd use for any other reg should be suficcient. I use shocker lube on mine as well.

Grease goes in only 2 places.
1) the reg piston springs. For no other reason other than to prevent rust.
2) Mix some Dow33 with some Autolube together on the reg pin assembly orings. Nice & slick.
Other than that, NO GREASE. Use autolube or my personal fave- KC oil.Comment
