    Dyeing Parts

I was wondering if you can buy colored grips or if you have to dye them somehow. I don't want to ruin the ones I'm getting so any info would be nice.

The fore grip in this picture

I have seen it in red and green before as well and it looks kinda greyish in the picture, is it black or clear or what?

Its black. I doubt you could change its color. You could look around for a bicylce grip that you like and try it out.

Alright I will try that, although in the picture thread I have seen a few greens, purples, reds, and yellows. Ohhh well I will just change the theme make it black.

Try bike/scooter foam or rubber grips. They come in different styles and colors.........

What you can do is buy the rubberizer from your local hardware store. It is the rubber stuff that tools get dipped into to create rubber grips. I have done this in the past to change the look of my rubber wheels on my RC cars and stuff. It worked out rather night.

All you do is simply dip it, and slowlying spin it in your hand, so you get no dripping points. I know you can get blue, red, yellow, orange, and green. You could probable have them make you a specific color as well.

Thanks for the idea, was just taking back some of my dye to wal-mart, when I noticed that there is a special dye that is supposed to break down the colors, such as black, so I will give that a try.

Though I have not tried it on a foregrip, you might be able to use Vinyl Dye to color them. Vinyl Dye is available in a wide assortment of colors, and is available at most Automotive Parts stores. I use vinyl dye to color computer components (Mice, Keyboards, CD-R/DVD drives). It goes on like a spraypaint, but actually penetrates the plastic, so even if the surface is scratched, the color still shows.
