    Mag isn't shooting

My automag won't shoot. I took out the on/off to put in another, and it wouldn't shoot. I put back in the original and it still won't shoot. I followed the valve instruction perfectly, and the velocity hasn't changed.

    Please help

So nothing happens when you pull the trigger? Stupid question, but is your bottle full? The only time I have managed to get a mag to do that is with less than 650 psi in my bottle. Bolt stick also does pretty much the same thing.

Also, is it a classic valve? xvalve? lvl7? lvl10? ULE body? Stainless PF body? A little more detail would help.

Stainless PF/HL body, classic valve with ANS Phase II, lvl.10 bolt.

I have 2000psi left in the tank.

I turned the velocity down just before back leaking.

Before the swap, it shot fine! I don't understand...

Check for a missed oring accidently left in the on-off hole.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

            There is nothing extra/missing.
            All peices necessary are present.
            The sear wasn't touched.

I literally took out the old, used same pin, and put in other. It didn't work, so I put pin back in original, and still, no shoot.

It was shooting perfectly before the transfer.

            I didn't damage anything either.

            I'm soo confused.

Something is sticking. Give it a good cleaning and see what happens.

hrmmm if the velocity is too low, it will not work.
on my first mag for 2 weeks i thought it was broken because the velocity was down and nothing happened, basically same scenario you have

If you read above, I have it just under blowing out the back.

Also, I didn't dirty it up at all (or at least nothing is visible), but I'll try cleaning it tomarrow (it's 11:30 in OH).

Thanks for all of the help, guys. It's very much appreciated.

Just under blowing out the back you say? i hope you dont mean the velocity bolt in the back blowing out the back of the valve - that means your velocity is at its lowest position. screw the velocity bolt into the valve (so there is less of it sticking out). I suggest you adjust it with no air in it, however, it is possible to shoot the marker during the adjustment to release the pressure.

Dude, I'm not an idiot. I know how to adjust an Automag's velocity. What I mean is I turned it up so it was shooting so hot it was blowing out the back. Then I turned it down enough so it would just stop leaking. So really, my current velocity is at the highest the Automag will handle. Thus, "just under blowing out the back".

Take it out, slap some lube in it, slap some lube in the power tube, make sure everything slides nicely, then put it back in, air up and see what happens.

Also, velocity could be too high.

It's cool. I didn't really take offense to it, sorry if I came off that way.

Well, the gun be fixed. I took everything apart (literally), gave it a good wash down, and shot probably too much oil through it. After oiling, I pulled the velocity adjuster all the way out, lubed the threads, and twisted it in until it shot. It works great now. I guess it was just throwing a tantrum telling me it needed washed.

Thank you all for your input and help. It was much apreciated.
