    Big dumb gauge question?

Hey I have a stupid question. Lets say you have a regulator that is supposed to be good from 0-800 psi but you only have a 0-600 gauge to use on it. Will the gauge be more or less accurate up to 600 psi and then just redline after that? Or will you have to take your 6 point gauge and make like 8 points in your head? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm not really sure how it works.

Please, if you are not really sure either, don't muddy the water by tossing in your uninformed opinion.

it will be overloaded over 600 psi, and stand an excellent chance of breaking.

FYI, a gauge is most accurate usually in the middle 1/3 to 1/2 of it's range, especially the cheaper ones.

      OK so just for clarification...

If I have a stabilizer on an Autococker which will prolly never go past 350psi I ought to be fine with a 0-600 gauge yeah?

      Thanks,

SHOULD be fine unless the reg fails, but as long as you keep it lubricated you should be more than fine.
