    Question for others with zgrips

What size screw is used for your grips? On mine, it uses 10/32 thread screws, but I got it used so I am not sure if its been drilled out and re tapped or not. Does your zgrip use a smaller screw or is it like mine?

If you have #10/32 it has beed redrilled. They should be #6-32, same as the Hyperframe and Emag panels.

Most panels are #6-32 or #8-32 threads, never seen one with #10-32...

Thanks a lot, thats what I was thinking. That also explains why I recieved the zgrip with no grips on it.

while we're on th subject of Z-grips, did you guys have to shave duckbills to work correctly? i spent half an hour outside with a metalfile trying to get it to work..... im pretty close, but it still hits a bit.

/on topic; why would anyone redrill the threads there?

            Probably because they were stripped.

Arstron, when Got it had cut up dye stickes on it, and the screws for it were mismatched. I have one in my hand right now, and it is a little bigger than the standard now that I look at it. I never even used it or attempted to put grips on it, thats how I got it. I feel bad now, sorry man, I honestly didn't know.

Dont feel bad, its no big deal at all. I have screws that fit it so its no big deal at all. The new aluminum panels I got from Luke, I am simply going to drill out the holes a little bit so they will work. I love the zgrip just as it is, and would of got grips from luke anyway.

I think its turned out pretty good so far, still want to make a few color changes and get an endo drop though...
