    Emag battery to run hopper

I am trying to figure out how to use the Mag battery to run a halo. I know it has been done but can't find the info on it anymore. Does anyone know if there is a connection on the board you can tap for battery power? Any idea how a halo would respond to the Mag battery?

Sure you can. You can build one from a variable voltage regulator from your local Radio Shack. I think the instructions are on the back of the package. you need a couple resistors and capacitor and the reg.
    Is a Halo 6 or 9 Volt?
It would be easier if you could a fixed voltage regulator do a google for a 7806 (+6 volt) or 7809 (+9 volt) they would take your part count to two (the reg and a capacitor).
or some one could Build you One.

I built a reglator to run my halo off the emag battery. It cost like $10 in parts. I used the variable regulator from Radio Shack. I turn it off in between games and I get about a case off a full charge. Just remember, if you are shooting fast or the hopper is running constantly, the regulator can overheat and shut down. Just build yourself a small heat sink and you shouldn't run into this problem.

Just to make it more simple. Instead of having a seperate battery for the hopper I could lose the weight and have one less battery.

Ill give you a diagram(schematic) But first how many AA does the halo use(*how many volts)?. heck ill build it, as I alueded to in my previous post.

Halo uses 6 AAs. I am also thinking since you can run a halo (and I often do) off two nickle metal 9Vs I can figure a way to run my Nerve or any (v powered gun off the halo batt.

here is a link on how to do it using a set voltage regulator. If you use a LM317 from radio shack, you will also need two resistors. I used a 150 ohm and a 1k ohm to get an output voltage of 9.5v. I believe there is a diagram on the back of the package showing you how to use the resistors to control the output of the variable regulator. If not then try this.
