    Valve stars question

I recently picked up a mag for cheap. Needless to say I dont think it was ever cleaned. I have a quesiton about the stars that are on the valve. The valve says Automag AIR valve and is S/N 06666. Its been a while since I've owned a mag and my question is where are the stars located? I think I rememered them being visible on the back of the valve. I don't see any on there and it doesnt look like there were any removed. Did AGD start doing this after a certqin number of guns? Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sledgebone

The star program came in around the time the engraving went from 68 Automag to the script Automag Classic. Depending on the date of manufacture, you might find a classic valve with 3 stars or only 1, but the old, true 68 Automag valves have none, and their free warranty service has been dropped. BTW, the star would normally be laser engraved under the hole for the air fitting.

We no longer provide free warranty service for older Classic, 68AutoMag, and Minimag valves without stars located on the valve. If a starless valve comes in (this includes valves with stars but have aftermarket reg halves which include ANS Phase II regulators, PMI Perfect Charger regulators, Diamond Labs 8-hole mod regulators, and etc.), we will contact the customer to arrange payment before beginning repair work. In other words: No Star, No Warranty. The marker must come in for inspection at the factory before we can consider waiving any fees.

            From here "http://www.airgun.com/WarrantyPolicy.shtml"

"All E-Mags, X-Mags, Tac-Ones, RT ULE Customs, RT Pros, X-Valves, Retro Valves and Flatlines without engraved stars have the equivalent of 2 stars. We will "punch" the valve to show that a warranty repair has been done on the valve. We are going to begin laser-engraving stars on these valves soon."

              4 stars

I recently came upon a minimag with 4 stars on it. If I bought it could I have it serviced 4 times for free?
