how to get more shots out of my mag

can anyone tell me some tips on how to get some more shots out of my mag. i got the level 10 bolt but i havent installed it yet and im not even sure if that does give you more shots. any ideas.

Level 10 will give LESS shots. Just the way it works.

What kind of air source do you use?

A decent reg (I'd say Crossfire HP ) and a larger tank. Sorry. That was my solution.

well i have a 3000 psi 68 now and im looking to get another tank. but i was wondering if they made like a different bolt that got more shots. my local shop told me that i would be lucky to get 500 out of my 68 3ooo psi not sure yet cause im waiting to get my tank back from hydro testing.

This isn't a Matrix or Shocker. No high efficiency bolt.

Best way to get more shots out of the tank-

1) Use the loosest carrier that doesn't leak & the short spring on the level 10.
2) Don't dryfire. You dryfire, you expend all of the air in the dump chamber. When shooting paint, there's about ~50psi left in the chamber.
3) Get a bigger tank. 3000 isn't much anymore, and the cost of 4500 tanks is low enough to warrant getting them instead of a 3k.

Use this rule of thumb-

10 shots per cubic inch on a 3000psi tank
15 shots per cubic inch on a 4500psi tank

You can also turn your velocity down, shooting at 250-260 fps instead of closer to 300 fps will conserve a little bit of air.

So will running the gun at ~600psi instead of 800.

That requires an adjustable tank reg (not an additional reg) and that 600psi is the absolute MINIMUM that the mag will operate on. So you're getting close to that work/no work barrier.

A few things.

Use a non ported barrle. The Stock RT type of barrle will get close to 1000 shots on a 68 3k you not going to get much beyond that at 285+ velocites. If you ca ind then in teh twist lock teh Lapco Big Shots are very nice, they still make them for the AC threads in 693,689,687,684 as I recall.

IF you set up the level 10 like someone mentioned with the gold spring and loose carrier ( without leaks ) you will loose about 10% to the Lvl10.
