I am having trouble with a air leak from the air avalue and I can figure out how to stop it. the gun is a old classic 68, can someone please help?

If it's venting from the back, chances are that your velocity is too high. Turn the nut on the back of your valve counter-clockwise until it stops (fire it while you are turning). If it continues to vent from the rear after this, you might have a bad reg o-ring or piston. Let us know if this works.Comment

nope that isnt it is more inside the valve. I thinks its coming from the on/off assembly, but dont know how to fix itComment

Hold the trigger back when it it gassed up. Does the leak stop?Comment

There are a couple of things that can cause this. First, disassemble the front of the valve. If there is a spring in the power tube, this could be your culprit. Get a power tube spacer kit and use the longest spacer you can without the gun leaking again. The .220 spacer is a good one to start with. before you do that, replace your power tube o-ring, oil the valve and see if that stops it. While you have it apart, look at the sear and make sure that it doesn't look worn. This should fix you up.Comment

Well no luck yet I think is has something with the on/off assembly cause the more I mess with that the better least it leaks. So I just ordered a new one hopefully that solves the problem but we'll seeComment
