    Flatline Reg Recharge Problems

Recently, my Flatline tank reg has been misbehaving.

It has a significant delay (~2 seconds) after a shot to come back up to pressure and as such, shootdown is a huge problem. The reg also 'creeps' if left alone for a short period of time.

    Approximate pressures during firing sequence.

    start at ~875 psig
    *shot* drop to ~650 psig
slow recharge up to ~825-850 psig after 2 seconds or so
over the course of the next minute or two, it will creep up to no more than ~1100 psig

If I dry-fire enough air through (x valve) it starts to behave long enough for me to play for a little while. After sitting unused, the problem returns, each time worse than before.

Now, the obvious solution is to simply get the reg rebuilt. But not having the disassembly tool, I'd need to send it out and I'm reluctant to do so in case there is another cause for this problem that I'm missing. All I can think of, though, is that the seals and spring pack are shot and it needs a good cleaning.

Any thoughts aside from getting a rebuild?
The reg is at least 4 years old and I do not think it has ever been rebuilt. 4500 psi tank.
    Before: "You're playing with WHAT?"
After: "Crap! It's that guy with the pump!"

You need to get it rebuilt. No service in 4 years is pretty good. I have all the parts if you want to send it here. Let me know via email. [email protected]
