AutoMag RT w/ BenchMark Frame Adjustment

I'm looking for some assistance with an issue on troubleshooting an RT that has a Benchmark frame on it.

When I use a standard trigger-rod (2" long), the safety doesn't engage because the sear activates the action in the length that the safety allows the trigger to move. When I shorten the trigger-rod length I seem to get short stroking. The Benchmark frame also has a trigger stop, which complicates things a little as well.

    Anyone have any additional thoughts?
    I went like this :shooting:
He went like this :tard: then like this :wow: then like this
Now he shoots a Mag too...

You can't use the standard sear rod length when dealing with a Benchmark frame.
The AGD specs don't apply. You need to adjust the sear rod so that it just makes contact with the back of the trigger as the trigger is making contact with the safety (with the safety engaged). Then you will have to adjust the trigger stop so that it consistently allows the sear to release the bolt when pulled back.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

The problem I am getting when I have the trigger stop set is that the bolt won't reset, it's like the sear isn't catching the bolt when it comes back. If I back out the trigger stop all the way so it's not being used, I don't have the problem.

Make sure you allow enough post travel past the firing point when you set the trigger stop. If you don't allow enough post travel, then the sear may rub the bolt and prevent it from properly resetting.
