    Xmag troubles continue.

I am having some very annoying problems with my X-mag. At first, I thought that it was the battery, but after testing it with a 50w load on it, there are no problems with the battery.

The problem I am having is rather annoying. When I pull the trigger, I will hear the solonoid click, but the marker will not fire.

This is a re-occuring theme lately, but check the length of the noid plunger. There is a spec some where in the Xmod manual. The plunger has a tendency to loosen up and move around. It sounds like its not long enough. (Or the noid is crapping out)

Thanks...now I feel stupid for not searching. I didnt think this was a common problem with X-mags. Thanks, I will check that.

I checked through the online manuel, because I dont have the actual one, and couldnt find anything for the plunger length.

Also check for plunger alignment. Pull out the valve and be sure the plunger moves freely inside the noid. Occasionally the clevis gets bent and the plunger will bind in the niod. This happens most commonly when people forget to pull the sear pin prior to body removal on the Xmag.

There are instructions on how to take the measurements in the xmod manual as stated in a earlier post. http://www.niedtech.com/ your going to have to sign up on the site if you haven't already to get to the download section

I bought a digital caliper today and measure them. Both of the rods were a bit off. The Noid plunger was somewhere around 2.97, and the pin was about 1.33 so I adjusted them...very slowly, and it should work now, but unfortunatly, I dont have any air to test it with.
