    no star valve?

ive been researching mags for a couple weeks since i got one. i got a minimag off of ebay...havent played in years and so i grabbed one up and started building/rebuilding it. i bought a few parts, and i bought a parts kit and went through and installed all new rings etc.

now, above the serial on my valve there are absolutly no stars...nothing resembling a star....and nothing resembling a scratch that could have been astar. havent been able to find pictures to make sure im staring at the right location....but with it off ive inspected it for 30 minutes and have found nothing.

am i crazy? or does it just not have any stars because maybe its too old of a model?

thanks in advance for the help.

My Mini doesn't have stars either (#2822), it's just an older valve. Nothing to worry about.

AGD has a "star program" where you send in your valve and get it lubed, tuned, and orings replaced.. etc.

Yours probley was sent in 4 times. :)

The old A.I.R. valves like ours never had stars.

OKay ... originally Automags had a lifetime warranty for the original owner. That's one of the reasons I bought one new in 1994. They were supposed to upgrade it and such for life, so no stars needed.

After a while, they decided to change the rules, and no longer honor the lifetime warranty. That's when they came up with the whole star jazz.

That's the long and the short of it.
