    bizarre problem...read inside

    Hi,

I have a paradigm pro from rogue and here's my problem.

I can shoot a string of rapid shots fine then I stop shooting for like 30 seconds and when I pull the trigger again the shot will not fire right away, there's a delay and the shot end up going off...

I noticed that loosening or tightening the field strip screw had some effect on the problem and on the reactivity of the trigger.

I also notice that the problem is worst when I lower the velocity and inexistant when the velocity is all the way up.

    Anybody has an idea ?

The problem is present since the last time I disassembled the marker for a good cleanup since we played in sand. I just disassembled it again just to make sure everything was in its place.

    Thanks

Im no expert, but it sounds like your field strip and frame screw might be too tight.
Adjust them so they are "hand tight". If they get too tight, it can cause friction with the bolt and body.

That'll give you something to do until the smart guys see this.

      seems to help, thanks!

I'm so bad at judging "it's tight enough"...

let see if someone has any other idea.

Yeah, Id definatly run things by Rogue as he did build er.

For the field strip screw, as hard as you can(by hand!) shouldnt be too tight. The frame screw is the important one. If thats over tightened you could warp the aluminum body. Check the inside of the body to see if theres any wear on the inside.
As for tightening, hand tighten your F.S. screw, then check the tension with your allan. Tighten the frame screw to match.

If you have a Lv.10 then that could be causing some of this. What that could be I have no idea

        Good luck!

I messed with it a little during lunch time.

Another thing I noticed, sometimes the shot takes a very long time to go off and when I tighten or loosen the FS screw it makes the shot go off. The problem really seems to be related to the FS screw...but I never had a problem before and I removed it many times. Or maybe it's the frame screw that causes all this...it's really getting on my nerves right now!

is there any recommendation to tighten the frame screw ? same thing as the FS screw ?

thanks Rogue, I really appreciate your help a lot!

I'll let you know of how it turned out.

ok, I checked everything you said and it seems to work fine now.

I had the red spring in there so I switched to the gold one and I noticed that my bumper was all cracked also so I changed it too. Could the bumper had a role in the problem or not ?

Now the trigger problem seems gone for good.

But...there's always a but with the gold spring the lvl 10 seems less gentle with paint, is there anyway to correct that ?

Thanks again for the awesome support!!!
