I've got a CP macroline kit and i've tried installing it but when i put in an elbow, after a few turns it gets tight and if i continue, it feels like im forcing it in :S There 7mm of threading on show, is it safe to leave it like that? I've got teflon tape on it aswell.

Don't use too much teflon tape. The tape si used mainly to lubricate the threads not for sealing. 1/8" NPT will almost seal itself. A better alternitive is plumbers paste. It looks like a small tube of toothpaste and remains plyable. Your local home center should sell it for 2-3 dollars... -
I've wrapped teflon tape around the threads once. I think ive sorted it out now.
