doing some custom milling on frame?

i am curious if anyone knows why i shouldnt cut out what i have drawn in red in order to lighten up the powerlite frame a bit?

also.....the three screws i have circled in pink which hold on the sight rail...are the neccessary? meaning...can i remove them and the sight rail without air leaking out of them? or will air come pouring out of thos holes also?
    thanks...

The front 3 screws that you have colored red, are fine to mill down. They do nothing except provide a place to attach accessories and/or a sight rail.

If you mill out the grip frame as indicated, you will weaken it structurally. A strong grip will chrush it. It also will not hold a bottom line very well due to the lack of strength. You will need to maintain a cross member to keep the frame from twisting.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

damn....i guess losing the sight rail will help some.....ill probably leave the frame alone for now though.

        thanks.
