A complicated problem

I recently bought a benchmark frame for my mag. For some reason, when I gas it up, air leaks down the barrel. I have a ult kit in it, but it works fine on my carbon fiber frame. I read a thread where a guy had the exact same problems that I had, although he fixed (I think) by replacing the power tube spacer. I checked the power tube spacer and it shows no sign of wear at all. I thought that by going down a size that it could be fixed, but I already have the smallest size installed. I am also thinking that it might be the sear rod. I haven't heard of anyone else having to adjust the length of the rod on their frame though.

Does anyone know what is happening?

I've determined that it is most definatly the sear rod or something else involving the benchmark frame.

Does anyone know how much the sear rod should be adjusted?

I agree with you entirely. I used to have an intelliframe. I sold it to help fund a BKO (the worst buy ever). I only bought the benchmark because it was cheap.

Changing the power tube spacer isnt because its worn its because the tolerance of the benchie arent quite up to spec, and bolt isnt being held back far enough to seal on the powertube oring (most likely).

So, wouldnt mean that going one powertube size lower? I'm already at the lowest.

I fixed the problem. I replaced the .215 powertube spacer with a .220 and now it works fine.
