    flatline tank...

Hi, today as i was trying to do runaway mode on my automag rt, a problem happened. As i was adjusting the input pressure past its normal spot (800) it would slowly "leak" out of the front of the tank where i had the allen wrench in. I then tried turning it a little more, and the more i turned it the more air would come out. I decided i didnt want to break anything so i stopped adjusting the pressure higher so i turned it back down to 800. Why cant i get my tank pressure past 900 or so??

    thanks in advance,

    Chris

think of the reg on the tank in the same terms on the reg on the mag valve....

turn up the pressure to high and it leaks... it is a safety feature both for you and the workin components of the reg....

I had my Flatline at 1100 without leaks, and also at 500 (for testing). But I play with 750

How old are the tanks you guys speak of?. My new one will go to just below 1000 before it gets burpy.(no way would I leave it anywhere near that high to play)

I remember reading where older Flatline tanks had issues. Is yours one of em?

Have you ever degassed it and serviced it? ( Clean it, new O-rings, lube)

Get a full size LP guage that can read from 0-1200psi and put it on the gun somewhere just for testing. Gas it up and record the output on the big guage and see if it's relatively the same as the output shown on the mini-guage. If they're both relatively the same, then most likely your piston has gone bad and you need a new one.
