I was thinking that if I relocated the hinge that connects the sear to the sear rod to just even with the mpa-3, that the hinge could actually fit inside the mpa-3 and be used instead of fabricating a ram. I wouldnt epoxy the hinge to the mpa-3, the hinge would actually still stay attached to the sear. I dunno, just a thought while I'm at work. Im not near meh gun to try it out.

You wouldn't want a delrin piston impating a steel rod. The delrin would wear out, crack, mar, warp, etc. It would work though
That is why the Piston is attached to the riv-nut, so that the impact is steel on steel, The riv nut wount wear out nearly as fast. -
oh hey, btw I got your plunger in. thx a million! I slipped it right in and immediatley noticed a difference. due to owning my Mako reg it works now, but leaks badly. so once my tickler comes in i'll finally be up and running. oh and I ordered a SS Ram from lukescustoms.com. i was curious to see how they work out.Comment

but on the subject of this thread. you know the little disc that goes between the velocity adjuster and the plastic rod on the spring of spyders. I was thining about using that on top of the derlin plunger (epoxied of course) to hit the hinge arm so its a steel to steel (prolly aluminum) hit. I dunno, i'm judt trying to find ways to do it differently from everyone else.Comment

Luke's new rams are cut a good length already and fit like a glove into the piston. Just a dab of epoxy and in the ram goes. Easy as pie.Comment
