    RT Mag Sear Snapped!

Can AGD replace this for me?

Hello. I bought an Automag RT. I was playing at Skirmish and suddenly while on the Beach, my Mag decided to stop cycling. So I walked back to the car and sat down and air'd it up again, it suddenly started firing full auto uncontrolably (sp), the trigger became locked back and the saftey switch is stuck on fire. So I de-gassed the marker and opened it up. The Level 10 was locked foward, the on/off on the valve was stuck on, and my sear was in 2 pieces. Does this happen frequently on RT's or any other Mag? Or was this just a horrible horrible time for my mag to crap out on me?

    -'slinger.

i'm amazed that that thing snapped its made of incredibly strong metal.

Call AGD to see what they can do.

well I dont know if theres a difference, but my gun isnt an RT Pro. It's an old school RT. If there isnt a difference between th 2 sears, then it must have fallen out when the sear snapped.

I'm not sure if they still make them, but they sell them here:

The bearing/bushing is likely to still be on the sear axle pin.
I'm a lefty that plays with an old school RT with H/L. I bought a warp and all is right with the world.

You're better off buying a new one.

Sears aren't a piece of equipment that gets upgraded so the chances of finding a good used one are very slim. A used one is likely to have been taken off a gun because it was causing problems.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
