    ULT problem

I'm not quite sure if this has been covered before, so I apologize in advance if it has.

I'm a fairly new mag owner and have never really done anything internally with them. I bought a Tac-1 a few months back and a buddy of mine gave me a ULT kit for it. When I attempted to install it, it went into full auto when I pulled the trigger. So I tried every shim combination, with no luck. Now my real question is this: there is an oring in the X-valve where the RT came out, that wouldn't allow the ULT to fit all the way in, so I pulled it out. I'm assuming that is where my problem is. Now the ULT that was given to me didn't come with any other o-rings to replace it with. Does this sound like its my problem? Or is it something else?

    Thanks.

So your gun was working fine and you installed the ult and it went full auto on every shim combo?

There shouldn't be any o-rings in the on/off slot before you put in the ULT - if there was an o-ring in there it would be causing the full auto.

If not, then mabey your pressure input is up too high (over 900). 800-850 should work.

If its still going full auto then mabey there is an o-ring missing inside the little brass ULT piece or something.

Let me know if any of this helps.

Well I pulled the o-ring out of there when I test fired it. The ULT assembly won't fit with it in there. All of the o-rings on the ULT seem to be fine. I have a Pure Energy 68/4500 tank. If I'm not mistaken those are regulated at 900 or below. I'm really confused on whats wrong with it. I looked at the picture of the ULT on the online store, and there are 2 rings that I don't have with mine. ULT pic. I don't have the white o-ring looking thing or the little black thing either... I dunno what they are or if they're even important. But all I have is the on/off and shims.

The white o-ring and the black o-ring go inside the on/off. Let me take pictures.

Thats what the ULT consists of, Then make sure there is nothing in the on/off slot when you drop it into the valve and it should be good to go.

Ok, so I'm missing the really small white o-ring, which would probably explain the problem. Thanks a lot for the illustration and the help. I'll let you know if I get it fixed.

                Good pics Nate.

On that exploded view of the ULT, it says the far right o-ring is also the same one on an RT.. yet the smallest one I can find on the RT won't fit in the ULT. Or maybe I'm missing something?

If my local pro-shop doesn't carry this o-ring (they stopped carrying AGD stuff years ago sadly), do you guys know of any place that would? I was wanting to have this thing installed by Saturday. Once again, thanks for the help.

I might have one> I have a bunch of orings now. If you can swing by the house or meet somewhere Ill let you go through them. Or maybe we can meet at Bills and he can help us both.

It'd be nice to have ours working befor the game tomorrow.

Yeah the o-ring that I'm missing is VERY small. But if you have any, I'd like to look through them. I'll probably give Josh a call later today about meeting up and getting these things fixed.
