    Removing a Tank from reg

What is the recommended way to remove a Crossfire reg from the tank?

I want to switch my tank out to an adjustable regulator.

A larger cresent wrench and a buddy with sticky hands to hold the tank.

I find recievers gloves work nicely to hold the tank...very grippy.

as far as the threading is concerned it is on there good. remember..."righty tighty, lefty loosey"

no...no heat. It can actually be damaging to composite tanks to be heated over 150. That is one reason filling a tank too fast could damage it by overheating. If you ever fill a tank so fast that you can't hold it because it's too hot...then you're hurting your tank.

Use a piece of rubber around the tank, get a sylon oil filter strap wrench in a 1/2" drive, and a long 1/2" breaker bar....

If you have a good bench vice and a couple pieces of wood you can hold the reg with that...Or take it to a place that dose Hydros and have then take it off. The place by me charges 18.00 to rehydro a bottle including removing and replacing the reg..
