So today i stumbled across four of my original co2 tanks from years ago. My question is can these ever be filled again or do they need hydro'd like nitro tanks. if so, this would cost more than the tank is worth, so are they nothing more than paper weights now?

with CO2 tanks you can get them re-hydro'd..but it would probably be cheaper just to replace them

People are right that a new 20oz tank is only a little more than a hydro ... but I have three 20oz tanks that are all 92 / 93 and I've always hydro'd them and used them. I like all those dates. I'll use them until I run out of space on the neck lol.
Cut the bottom off the tanks and use them for a windchime, along with a couple of stock barrels and a bottom line ASA for a striker.

Similar question over here in the UK. I've got an old L7 with the promag conversion and have a 3.5oz expansion tank doubling as a foregrip . Do these tanks ever need testing?
It's been painted and re-painted a few times, I've taken a lot of the old paint back now and can make out 'aluminium' on the side...don't know if that helps?

expansion chambers are not DOT (or whatever you guys use over there) certified and not subject to testing.
