    Emag battery or something else?

Ok, so I bought an E-Mag, got new o-rings, battery, and lvl 10 bolt, tuned it up in mech mode. Which in mech mode works wonderfully. However, I seem to have a problem with the electronics.

It seems that the Battery doesn't want to hold a charge. I charge the battery up, and will read 16-18v (not a digi Multimeter so could be higher). When I place it on the marker the Software version will come up (1.35), and the solenoid will activate once the trigger is pulled like one would expect. This is doing it without the valve and body on the rail. I can only get maybe 100 shots before the battery is down to 12ish volts or lower. Also at this time the Display will show funny characters when attempting to scroll through the options. This is the same behaviour as the old battery which I replaced with a new one from AGD. Also as more shots are made the solenoid pull strength becomes weaker and weaker to point of not even feeling it. Also the red flashing dot does not show up unless I have it hooked upto an alternate power source (wall dc adapter of appropriate voltage and amperage).

There are no shorts between positive and negative terminals, and the electronics seems fine as I hooked the lowers upto a DC power source of appropriate volace and amperage, and the marker would cycle fine for extended periods.

To me for a 'fully' charged battery to be drained soo fast as very unusual, seeing as how a battery should not be able to drain that fast.

I also suspect the charger itself as well as I have attempted to charge the batteries for well over 24 hours without a Green Light coming on. It appears to be outputting the proper voltage and amperage to the batteries.

    So, the questions are:

    1. Is my Charger broken ?

    2. Is the 'new' battery from AGD Defective?

    3. Is my solenoid broken?

Any help is appreciated. I am very anxious to get this marker fully functional. I love it even though have only been able to use in it mechanical mode. Really want to see what it is capable of stock and get it 100% working.

    Thanks.

Looks like the battery doesnt get a good charge from the charger. Both batteries do exactly the same, and feeding the mag with a separate DC charge should have told you there is nothing wrong with the marker. The reason why the solenoid is losing force is because the batteries cannot deliver enough power to it.

I think the charger is only delivering a trickle charge to the battery, to maintain voltage instead of charging it. It should never take over 24 hours to charge a emag battery with the suplied charger, so there's definatly something wrong with the charger.
If you can, i would try to borrow another charger and rule out the batteries being faulty. My hunch is that it is the charger, but always a good thing to make sure before buying a new one.

how many shots/cycles should you get off of a fully charged battery?
