Full auto w/ the safety on? WTF?

ULT - number of shims doesn't matter as you wil soon see
PMI preset reg (about 750 i believe) on a luxfer 4500 HPA system

ULT was working fine for 6 months. was walking it consistently to the point that i got pinches when shooting out of my egg (maybe eyes on guns aren't such a bad idea...unless we all go off and buy halo's or something)...so it was working fantastically.

playing a tourney a few weeks ago... All of a sudden i find that it will fire with the safety on (so somehow my trigger pull has become significantly shorter through no intervention by anyone). Having fun at the chrony while my gun shoot full auto into my barrel condom after barely touching the thing. Chrony reff ignores it and says go on anyway... I thank him and continue to play and wipe out the opposition team in a run through. Ten points to me

This is definately a ULT problem. Tried it with the stock On-Off and everything is A-OK...put the ULT in there and it is a crazy *****

    My diagnosis is..either:
My ULT has Shat itself somehow causing trigger pull to be drastically reduced...this solves the firing with the safety on, but doesn't explain why it shoots full auto even when i take my finger off and i have only left 2 shims (as opposed to the 5 i originally had) in the bloody thing

OR: My preset reg has decided to all of a sudden increase the output pressure up 200 PSI for no bloody reason, thus turning the gun into an uncontrollable muppet mower...which happens to be perfectly illegal my state...however i do not see how this will shorten the trigger pull length.

    WTF and CHEERS

wow. i've never heard of that happening before, so i cant offer any advice (sorry). but maybe it has something to do with the toilets spinning backwards in australia?
good luck but you have to ask yourself, is it really a problem you want to fix?

I suggest getting a new Halo with the 35 bps board or a qloader.

just the other day I was playing with my RT pro ULE and it was working fantastically, I was walking it like a champ. took it home afterwards, took it apart to clean it, and oiled the ULE. after that I was just playing around with it, and it was showing the same symptoms as yours. you just barely touch the trigger and it fires like 3 or 4 times, hold it down and it's full auto. mine and my buddies theory was that the oil had gotten between the shims, increasing the effective number of shims. so I just took it out side and dry fired it a bunch and eventually it started acting normal again. I dunno if you recently oiled your ULE, but I would recommend being careful if you do, making sure not to over-lube it.
