I have a quick question on my rail. The brass tube that holds the nub for the twist lock barrel system is in the way of my putting on my ule. how do I get the assembly out?

I have a quick question on my rail. The brass tube that holds the nub for the twist lock barrel system is in the way of my putting on my ule. how do I get the assembly out?

It should be pressed out. I got mine out by hitting it w/ a hammer. Put 2 pieces of wood under the rail so the twist lock assembly is between them and give it a good couple of hits. From what I remember, You should be hitting from the bottom side of the rail.
