    Ult/ups on older mag?

Hey, I have just come into possetion of an older mag and have a few questions about what i can put in it, specificaly the ULT. Now i did searh the forums for the answer but as you can imagine the term ULT comes up quite a bit. I saw that with the classic valve the ULT wont work, but the mag i have it has a shocktech regulator and i was wondering if this addition has any bearing on the ability to put the ULT on it. If it isnt too obvious i am still learing how mags work and am trying to understand the whole internals/blowforeward thing.
Also as far as i can see it would not be a problem to put the lvl10 in the mag, and again would this make any difference to being able to put the ULT on.
I would appreciate any help you guys can give me.

actually, you can use the ULT on a classic valve, though some people find it hard to shoot without short stroking. i have one in mine, and i like it alot. the level ten will go in without a problem. the reg dosnt do anything at all really. if its a really old mag, it could probably do with new orings, a reg seat, and maybe a new regulator piston.

Some people have luck with a ULT in a classic valve. Others do not. Its a hit and miss proposition.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Use a RT on/off with a .750 pin on your classic. The pull is very light and more consistant than a ULT.

yes they help in older mags very nicely

i use a Hyperframe on off, its very similar

my older mag also liked a .770pin from tuna
it gave it a better return force

So you can add a RT on/off to a classic valve and it will lighten the trigger pull? No need to do anything else?

Yep, it cuts the trigger pull force in half with no bad side effects.
